Introduction to animate

This is what I created in our first introductory session to Adobe Animate.

It becomes more apparent to me as time goes on that I want to animate, and this session was a lot of fun for me, even if I did have to do some of the work again after accidentally losing it all.

Can't wait to do the weekly task stemming from this session.

Of course there is so much wrong with this, it goes without saying. For example, its clunky its inconsistent and the timing needs work.

However, for a first try at using a software I think its really not so bad, I managed to use some of the fundamental principles like squash and stretch, anticipation, appeal (hopefully).

When I was animating at home here and there in the past I had no software like this (or no understanding of how to use software like this) so what I had to do was draw in a painting programme, save as jpg and put all of them together, manually adding a time for each frame in ..... windows movie maker! it was probably the least efficient way of animating imaginable and I create things of this quality or less but with hours more time; I'm so excited to see what I can actually do with a professional software when I put a lot of time into an animation.
