Final animation iterations

This blog post is to share with you my many iterations of my final animation project. I will add comments here and there where appropriate.

My first iteration of scene 1. It took ages for me to really make a start with this, I kept tweaking the first keyframe, I think I was afraid of actually really starting to animate because I wasn't sure how capable I was going to be at creating what I had in my head. These so many issues with this first scene still, but I am pleased with how its going at this stage. When making scene 1 I was about a week BEHIND schedule for my animation, which was making me feel a lot of pressure to work.

Here is scene 1 with the beginnings of scene 2. You can see where I am going with it and I was gaining confidence now, and my work speed was increasing. My love of animation was coming back to me and I was being less precious and anxious about the result and just getting stuck in.

This is the first proper export I did of my animation before the final. This is the first few scenes and by this point I was feeling really happy about my progress, I had caught up on my schedule and things were looking good. There were a lot of things I wasn't happy about . I needed to fix that shadow at the start because for some reason which I did not understand, it was revealing the bottom of it where I had drawn outside of the stage. The timing was not right for a while on a lot of the scenes too which needed fixing and going back into and fixing some more and just endless fixing!
There were still more scenes to come but I was anxious to get there because In post production I needed to add all the effects such as the panning of the camera, fade ins and outs, music etc. I was conscious of time, despite being ahead of schedule. The next blog post I will go into details about specific challenges I faced and show you my final animation, post production and all!
